Internship at the New York Senate Dems
The New York Senate Dems are currently offering unpaid part-time internships in both our Albany and New York City office during the summer and academic year and are seeking college and graduate level students as well as recent graduates interested in getting hands-on experience working in political campaigns, communications and new media, fundraising and events, and/or general operations for a New York State political organization. Basic computer skills are essential and knowledge in political science may be helpful.
Program Details
Sessions are typically 12-13 weeks long broken down like so: Spring (March-May), Summer (May-August), Fall (August-November), and Winter (November-February).
Internships are part-time with a minimum commitment of 15-hours per week; students will be able to choose morning or afternoon shifts, and as available, evening or weekend shifts; schedule will be arranged based on student’s availability.
Requirements
To be eligible, you must be:
- A United States citizen;
- At least 18 years of age on or before the first day of internship; and
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a college, community college or university; or graduated in the past two years from an undergraduate or graduate program at a college, community college or university
