District 38
The 38th Senate District encompasses all of Rockland County and parts of Orange County, including Tuxedo and Warwick townships. Democrats maintain a sizeable and growing voter enrollment advantage in the district. Results have been mixed for Democratic candidates at the top of the ticket, and a Republican has represented the district for over thirty years. In 2010, Democrat David Carlucci was elected to replace the late State Senator Thomas Morahan.
