District 56

The 56th Senate District encompasses parts of Monroe County including most of the city of Rochester, and all of Brighton, Greece and Parma Townships. Democrats maintain a sizeable and growing voter enrollment advantage in the district and Democrats outperformed Republicans up and down the ticket in recent elections. Despite that advantage, Republican Joe Robach currently represents the district.

Joe Robach, Republican

Seven year incumbent, Joe Robach represents this district. During the current term he has participated in the Republicans’ “do-nothing“ strategy and has failed to work with Democrats in a bipartisan fashion to solve the issues facing the state.
