When the New York Senate Dems came into the majority in 2008, New York was in disarray. Jobs were disappearing, decades of out-of-control spending and burdensome taxes had driven our economy to the brink, and Albany was a den of corruption.

In our short time in power, the Senate Dems have began the long process of turning around the ship of state. We are kept our campaign promises to New Yorkers, and worked hard to build a government as good as our people.

Job Creation

Job creation is priority number one for Senate Democrats. Continued investment in the innovative ingenuity of New York residents is the cornerstone to restarting our struggling economy and providing much needed jobs throughout the state.
